“Safar-e-Dasmesh” is a research-oriented platform dedicated to scholarly service, based
on the scientific and spiritual study of the historic journey undertaken by Shri Guru
Gobind Singh Ji from Takht Shri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo (District Bathinda, Punjab)
to Takht Shri Hazur Sahib, Abchal Nagar (Nanded, Maharashtra) during 1706 to 1708
CE.
This website is an academic endeavor aimed at rediscovering and presenting the
historical routes, sacred sites, and cultural-heritage contexts associated with this
sacred journey of the Guru sahib ji . Safar-e-Dasmesh seeks to authentically document
and present the spiritual and historical travels of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji through
the careful study of ancient historical records, oral traditions, manuscripts, and
narratives prevalent in local traditions.
The research also strives to re-establish historical connections with royal families and
Sikh devotees associated with this route since the Guru’s time, and to revive the
collective memory of this momentous journey of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The objective of this research is to provide authentic information, documentary sources,
and visual material for students, scholars, and spiritual as well as historical
researchers, so that the vast life journey of the Guru sahib ji may be understood with
both knowledge and reverence. Through the confluence of Gurmat philosophy, research, and
devotion, Safar-e-Dasmesh functions as a spiritual bridge between history and modernity,
inspiring future generations to walk on the philosophical path shown by Shri Guru Gobind
Singh Ji.
